President's Message

Greetings and thank you for visiting our website!

 

The Rho Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was chartered in 1989 to extend the impact of our beloved sisterhood in the Charlotte metropolitan area. For more than 35 years, our members have been actively engaged in enhancing the environment, promoting economic wealth opportunities, raising awareness of mental health, awarding scholarships, and designing programs that uplift children while empowering families and communities across this region.

 

From our early beginnings with 50 motivated charter members to a thriving chapter of more than 500 college-educated, committed community leaders, Rho Psi Omega has remained steadfast in its dedication to service and sisterhood. Our brilliant and compassionate members proudly support undergraduate chapters and emerging leaders while advancing initiatives that address educational attainment, economic opportunity, health and wellness, and civic engagement.  

 

Guided by the International Program, “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood,” Rho Psi Omega is committed to delivering impactful, purpose-filled service that is both strategic and compassionate. Within that framework, our chapter theme, “Rise Up, Rho Psi Omega,” reflects our desire to deepen member engagement, strengthen our bonds of sisterhood, and expand our collective impact in the greater Charlotte community.
