Charted in 1989, the Rho Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated celebrated its 20th Anniversary on November 12, 2009. We continue to work and increase our impact and visibility in the Charlotte community through our service and scholarships. Our chapter programs are aligned with our national platforms which currently focus on areas such as the Non-Traditional Entrepreneur, Economic Keys to Success, Economic Growth of the Black Family, and Health Resource Management and Economics. This is all exemplified in the work we do to provide "service to all mankind."

Chapter meetings are open to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. only. These meetings begin at 4:00pm and are currently being held at Hornets Nest Elementary School (6700 Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte). The attire for each meeting is business attire unless otherwise noted. Please see our membership information for more details.

Join us for an evening of Art & Elegance as we celebrate the work of Loïs Mailou Jones on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at the Mint Museum of Art, located at 2730 Randolph Road in Charlotte. The 2010 Debutante Cotillion, co-sponsored with RPO, Inc., will be held March 27, 2010, at 7:00 p.m., at the Charlotte Marriott Center City, located at 100 W. Trade Street in Charlotte.
